Saturday 13 June Open Day travel update
We are currently experiencing a high volume of traffic at Lansdown Park & Ride, resulting in longer-than-expected journey times to campus. Parking spaces are still available on campus and may be a more convenient option for visitors arriving today.
Parking at a park and ride
You can avoid traffic in the city centre by using one of Bath's park-and-ride services.
You can catch a free Open Day bus directly to the University if you park at Lansdown Park & Ride. Buses leave every 10 minutes, starting at 8am. The last bus back from our campus leaves at 5.30pm.
If you park at Newbridge or Odd Down, you need to pay for the park-and-ride service to Bath Bus Station. You can then catch the free Open Day bus from there.
Lansdown Park & Ride
You can park at Lansdown Park & Ride for free and take the free Open Day bus directly to the University.
is about seven miles from M4 junction 18, Bath's nearest motorway. It's the closest park and ride to our campus.

When you park at Lansdown Park & Ride
Student Ambassadors and staff members, in red T-shirts, will be at the park and ride on the day. They can direct you to the bus stop and answer questions about the Open Day.
Depending on whether you park in the main car park or the overflow car park, you may be asked to download a parking app and follow some instructions to register your vehicle. We'll give you full instructions on the day, so there is nothing you need to do in advance.
If you park in the overflow section of the car park, the gate will close at 7pm, so you must remove your vehicle before this time.
Newbridge Park & Ride
If you park at , you need to pay for the bus to Bath Bus Station. You can then catch the free Open Day bus from there.

Odd Down Park & Ride
If you park at , you need to pay for the bus to Bath Bus Station. You can then catch the free Open Day bus from there.

Parking at the Sulis Club (Saturday 13 June only)
Parking at the Sulis Club is now fully booked. You can only park at the Sulis Club if you've already booked a space.
If you've booked a space to park at the Sulis Club on Saturday 13 June, you can catch the free bus from there to the University.
The Sulis Club is south-east of the city, close to the A36, and about one mile from the University.

When you park at the Sulis Club
Follow directions from our Student Ambassadors, in red T-shirts, to catch the free bus to the University. The short journey to campus may take longer if the roads are busy.
The bus runs to and from the Sulis Club between 8am and 5.30pm.
Parking in the city
Bath is a popular tourist destination and hosts a number of events throughout the year. Before you decide to park in the city, check the Visit Bath website for any .
There are multiple roadworks and diversions in place around the city, and a Bath Rugby match will be taking place on the afternoon of Saturday 13 June, so the roads in and around Bath will be even more congested. Please plan your journey in advance and allow extra time for any delays.
